Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning (ASP) test kits detect domoic acid. Domoic acid is a marine biotoxin that is secreted by algal blooms and is found in shellfish. Once the toxin is present in the shellfish tissue it cannot be destroyed by heat during cooking. Reveal 2.0 for ASP screens at the U.S. and E.U. maximum threshold of 20 ppm.
